20 Week Update

I hate doing this, considering I am growing a little bit each week, but I'm still trying to get over this nasty cold, and unfortunately that means day 2 of lounging around in PJs. We'll take a picture for our records, but it will not "blog worthy."

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 20 Weeks (HALFWAY!!!! Can.not.believe it!)
Size of baby: 6.5 inches (Small Cantaloupe), 10.5 ounces
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 10 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Maternity pants, but regular dresses and shirts (mostly)
Gender: It will be a surprise!
Movement: Our sweet babe is kicking quite frequently these days, but still randomly.
Sleep: Finally sleeping pretty well, except my hips hurting if I lay on one side too long
What I miss: Margaritas?
Cravings: Bahama Bucks Sno Cones, Watermelon & Sour Apple Jolly Ranchers
Symptoms: HEARTBURN - every.day.all.day. Still nauseous about 3-4 times a week
Best Moment this week: Feeling the baby kick more frequently! I have grown to love that ticklish, sometimes blunt, little feeling :-)

As far as my health goes, the nurse called back this morning. Dr. M thinks it's an upper respiratory virus and asked me to call back if my fever gets above 101, my symptoms get worse or persist for 7-10 days. I am SO prayerful that the symptoms will be gone by tomorrow! Bold, I know, but prayerfully it will happen! Last night we slept all the way through until 4:15am (the normal time I have to get up to go to the bathroom), much better than 2:30am the night before, but after I went the bathroom, I coughed my lungs up for like 45 minutes and could not get propped up on enough pillows, or put enough Vicks vapor rub on, or drink enough water. AND THEN our sweet little puppy, Abbey (who is almost a year old!), that has been doing SO well sleeping until we get her up in the morning without yelping/crying, decided she would start crying at 5:15 and continue on until we gave in at 8:15am. Needless to say, Abbey and I are snuggled up on the couch probably going to take a nap here pretty soon.

Blessings,
Sarah

  1. I'm sorry you still aren't feeling well. I hope it goes away on its own and you don't have to see the Dr. Glad you are starting to feel the baby more and more, that sounds exciting! Abbey sounds like a cutie, and like she is trying to get you ready for motherhood, lol. Enjoy your nap=)
