24 Weeks & Trusting in God

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 24 Weeks
Size of baby: Still 12.7-20.8 oz, 10.5-11.8 in (Papaya)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 15 lbs :-(
Maternity Clothes: Almost everything is maternity clothing now - finding some cute stuff at Kohl's!
Gender: It will be a surprise!
Movement: Mostly in the mid-morning and at night when I lay down
Sleep: Finally sleeping pretty well and getting used to waking up to use the restroom
What I miss: Living without heartburn
Cravings: Not too much...random chocolate craving this week (thank goodness for 1/2 off Easter candy!!!)
Symptoms: HEARTBURN - every.day.all.day. Nausea is improving :-) YAY!! Still vomiting about once a week, though.
Best Moment this week: Celebrating our Risen Lord with Brian's family and imagining how fun it will be next year to share this special holiday (the basis of our faith in Jesus Christ!!) with little BAL for the first time! Brian was also able to feel the baby's body when I was laying on my back last night - he/she was nestled right to left right around my belly button :-)

Tonight, something really neat happened -- one of those moments where without a doubt God was speaking directly to me (no, no, not verbally, just stay with me here). Brian and I are in a season of change - we are still learning how to best glorify God in this thing called marriage, while preparing to welcome a sweet babe into our family, also while Brian is looking for a career move. So many things are changing and we don't really know where we will be in two weeks, two months, or two years. [Hard for a planner-type like me!] This evening as I was leaving church, I made a statement to a friend that "God is in control" regarding Brian's job situation. As I was walking away from that conversation, I had a brief thought reiterating that God really is in-control. I forgot about that conversation and continued on to my car. As I was walking to my car, I looked down to look at the step up to the curb and saw something. It wasn't until I walked away that I had a second thought about what I saw.
My first thought was that some little kid dropped that little heart. When I got to my car, I realized that word, "Trust," was clearly intended for me. It is not enough for me to speak the words "God is in control," I must must must TRUST, BELIEVE, and KNOW that God is in control. So the question Brian asked me tonight is "What does TRUSTING that God is in control [specifically in the job situation] look like?" Tonight, I have no answer, but I know what I will be praying for - God to show me what it looks like in my life to TRUST that He has everything in control! Do you TRUST and BELIEVE that God is in control of every aspect of your life?

23 Weeks

I've had this post ready since Friday, but I kept neglecting to get the picture uploaded to my computer! Weirdly, I feel like I shrunk this week (according to the picture), but the scale tells other wise :-/ I hope you all had a very blessed Easter! Our prayer is that each of you felt the joy and peace of our Lord, Jesus Christ as we proclaim and celebrate He is risen! We pray for our little one that he/she may come to love the Lord in this way!
