Fill in the Blank Friday! & SUYL Pets

This morning, my sweet friend, Meg @ Life on the Run linked up with Lauren @ The Little Things We Do for "Fill in the Blank Friday." I'm loving these fun bloggy link-ups because I get to find new blogs and people who are so similar to me! I was in a bad bloggy funk of only posting Brynlee's weekly pictures, but I love having a little window to maybe talk about something other than my sweet, precious, perfect, angel baby :-)

1. Something popular that I can't stand/just don't get is planking. Seriously? What is so cool about finding a TRASHCAN (yuck!) to lay flat on top of? Would it be cool if I planked in bed, or would that just be called napping?

2. Something unpopular that I secretly love is...I'm having a hard time with this...I think I am mostly a trend follower :-/...I might have to come back and edit this later because I just can't think of something! If you know me and can help me out, leave a comment!

3. When I've had a bad day I either do crafts while Brian is taking care of Brynlee or take a long.hot.bath

4. I'd prefer a messy house to missing out on time with Brynlee any day.

5. Something that makes me nervous is moving to a new big city (but I'm excited, as well)!

6. Something worth fighting for is my Lord, my husband, and my daughter. I would do anything to protect those three things. ANYTHING.

7. When people think of me, I hope they think that I am a selfless, daughter of Christ with a heart to please Him. I know that I am a failure, but I set my bar high and will continue to fail as I try to achieve this image/lifestyle. Each time I fail, it is only by His grace that I continue to have chances to try again. Thank you to those friends who continue to give me chances, as well.

I also couldn't help but to link up with Kelly's Korner today for Show Us Your Life: Pets! We love our sweet Malti-poo so very much that I just can't imagine skipping out on this opportunity to brag on her! She is our first "baby" aka Furbaby and we have loved watching her become a big "fursister" :-)

Brian and I adopted Westminster Abbey London Langhoff 2 weeks after our wedding :-) We went to London on our honeymoon and loved it so much, we wanted to be reminded of that sweet time every moment we looked at our sweet puppy. We call her Abbey for short (or Abbey London if she's in trouble) :-)

Abbey got very sick just a few days after bringing her into our home. She first suffered from coccidia (not uncommon, but gross, nonetheless). From the coccidia, she developed pneumonia. Her pneumonia did not improve with rest & medicine, so we had to give nebulizer treatments to her in the morning & night for 15 minutes each. For the most part, she was so sick and tired she would just lay there for us to care for her. As she got better and stronger, she began fighting us and we so thankful for that!

Brian and I are absolutely smitten with our furbaby. She is so sweet and loves to be loved on!

As she grew up, she lost most of her tan hair color and is now mostly dirty white color (even when she's perfectly clean).

This picture was taken just days before we found out we were expecting. Abbey was definitely a part of our family and we were so excited to prepare her to be a big "fursister" by having her around children and having children visit us at home. She did so well - were not at all surprised when this is how you can find her most days with Brynlee...

We love our Abbey dog and think that the Malti-poo breed is the perfect dog for us! We highly recommend others to look into this breed of dog if you are going to be starting a family or if you have young children already :-)

Hope you find this link-ups fun and will think about linking up to one or both of them yourself! Happy Friday!
